Crooked DA Used Your Tax Money to Indict Trump!
The Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has confirmed that he used federal funds to conduct his politically motivated investigation into former President Donald Trump. This is a shocking revelation that exposes the corruption and bias of the New York prosecutor, who has made history as the first to ever indict a former president on flimsy charges.
Bragg, who took office in January 2022, inherited the Trump investigation from his predecessor, Cyrus Vance Jr., who had spent years pursuing various allegations of fraud and tax evasion against the former president and his businesses. But Bragg decided to narrow his focus on one particular strand: a $130,000 hush-money payment made by Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen to Stormy Daniels during the 2016 campaign.
Bragg claims that this payment violated New York state law by falsifying business records and concealing an illegal campaign contribution. He convened a grand jury earlier this year and secured an indictment of Trump on more than two dozen charges, which will be unveiled next week when Trump is expected to “surrender” and face arraignment.
But Bragg’s case is weak and based on dubious evidence. He relies heavily on the testimony of Cohen, who has already pleaded guilty to federal crimes and has a history of lying and betraying his former boss. He also ignores the fact that Trump has denied having an affair with Daniels and has said he did not know about the payment at the time.
Moreover, Bragg’s investigation is tainted by his use of federal funds to pursue his partisan agenda. This is a clear abuse of taxpayer money. He has also created a conflict of interest, since the Justice Department is also investigating Trump on other matters.
Bragg’s confirmation of his use of federal funds comes after three House GOP congressmen demanded that he provide documents and testimony about his investigation. The congressmen accused Bragg of attempting to interfere with an ongoing state criminal investigation and prosecution, and said that Congress has a “compelling interest” in protecting the physical safety of former or current presidents.
Bragg’s office responded by accusing the congressmen of trying to interfere with his prosecution of Trump, and said that complying with their request would reveal confidential information about a pending criminal case. He also claimed that congressional involvement in a state criminal case would be an “unlawful incursion into New York’s sovereignty.”
But Bragg has no sovereignty to speak of. He is a rogue prosecutor who is abusing his power and wasting public money to pursue a personal vendetta against Trump. He is not interested in justice or the rule of law, but in scoring political points and advancing his career. He is endangering the safety and reputation of a former president who has done more for this country than Bragg ever will.
Bragg should be held accountable for his actions and face legal consequences for his misuse of federal funds. He should also drop his baseless charges against Trump and apologize for his witch hunt. He should respect the will of the American people who elected Trump as their president in 2016, and who still support him today.
