I can hardly even use the word “liberal” to describe the movement that we are seeing sweep across this great nation. You see, liberals used to actually stand for things like free speech and equal rights. Modern liberals have abandoned those ideas in favor of a more aggressive type of politics. Modern liberals don’t actually believe that everyone deserves to have their ideas heard anymore. This movement has morphed into modern progressivism. 

Modern progressives don’t want to debate. They don’t want to be challenged. They don’t want to listen to other ideas or perspectives. They don’t offer anyone the benefit of the doubt. This is the new progressive movement and it’s more dangerous than any political movement that we have seen in this country before. 

These modern progressives live in a fantasy world where they believe they are the enlightened ones that are here to save the country (and the world!) if only the conservatives would “shut up and listen”. Or better yet, just go away. 

This group has deployed new tactics that have never been seen before in a democracy. In order to shape “democracy” into what they believe it should be, they have abandoned many of the principles that made this country the greatest nation in the history of the world.

What are these tactics? Well, you actually already know them well and are witnessing them being used every day by Democrats and mainstream media. 

Below, I summarize the disturbing tactics we are seeing most often:

Shame

This is used by Progressives to make everyone else feel like bad people if they don’t prescribe to progressive ideas. 

For example, you think this country needs immigration reform? You’re a racist. There is no in between. There is no debate. If you don’t want open borders, you are simply a racist. It doesn’t matter that you have friends and family that are of hispanic origin (or any other origin for that matter). It doesn’t matter that you are in favor of legal immigration but just want it to be managed like other developed nations. If you speak out in any way against open borders, you are a racist. 

Racism is the easiest card for them to play. Nobody wants to be labeled a racist, even if they know they are not at all racist and there is no proof of racism. In today’s society, anyone calling you a racist is a death sentence for your career, your place in society, and just about every other aspect of your life. 

Other examples:

• Pro life instead of pro choice? You are trying to control female bodies. Sexist pig!
• Voted for Trump? You’re just a fascist. Duh. 
• Don’t want to raise taxes? You’re obviously trying to keep the “poor” people living in poverty. You’re soooo greedy! 

Censor

This is a new (to a civilized country) tactic and one that is the opposite of “liberal”. Today’s progressives don’t even want to hear opposing ideas. They already have all of the answers and anything else is beneath them. They are on a mission to change this country “for the better” and nothing can get in their way. 

No questioning. No challenging. No objective opinions. Simply conform or else… 

Over the last few months, we have seen this happen like never before. President Trump was removed from social media, likely forever. Why? Because he questioned the progressive establishment. He shined a light on their ridiculous plan for this country and how they manipulated the election in their favor. And just like that….censored by the biggest platforms in the world. 

In January, AOC said that congress needs to “rein in” reporting that might be considered “misinformation”. And who will decide what constitutes “misinformation”? The government, of course. They will hand pick who gets to provide information to the country. This is a move towards state controlled reporting and it will absolutely be the end of our democracy. 

Recently, AOC lied about her experience during the capitol protests. When she was called out, she sent an email out to millions of her followers telling them to go on social media and report the stories labeling her as a liar. She wanted those opinions (and facts!) scrubbed from the internet. How dare you know the truth! You should only see things through the progressive lens. 

Cancel

Are you really surprised Parler was removed from Amazon’s hosting platform? You shouldn’t be. Parler was a platform that allowed millions of people to communicate about things that were certainly not adhering to modern progressive ideas. Parler was a place for likeminded conservatives (and anybody else) to collaborate, share, and discuss ideas. Except those ideas have no place in modern progressive America. Parler HAD to be removed.

Likewise, you shouldn’t be shocked that the CEO of MyPillow, Mike Lindell, has been the subject of mass cancellation. Stores have removed his products and his Twitter was banned. Afterall, a successful business man that has made millions of dollars shouldn’t have a voice if it doesn’t go along with the preapproved narrative set forth by the progressives.

And the lists go on and on….

So where do we go from here? Nowhere. We don’t budge. We hold our ground because this progressive movement is already overstepping. There will be major backlash for them when the rest of America wakes up. We need to be the ones standing there, welcoming them back to reality. 

Don’t be like the democrats that are allowing shaming, censorship, and cancelling. We must set a precedent that that behavior is never acceptable, no matter how stupid the progressive ideas might be.
