Ah yes. Last week made it 100 days since we ended racism, bigotry, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, untimely death, and poverty by kicking out Donald Trump from office. As I tuned in to watch President Harris, sorry, Joe Biden, speak, my heart beat with joy as I watched the man who saved America speak with so much authority. The last 3 months have been pure bliss however, some people in the far right think that our dear President Joe Biden, is slowly converting the United States into a proper nation of socialism. What buffoonery, I know right? Why would anyone think that? Joe Biden has a track record of successes and will never try something so radical, it makes no sense whatsoever. Even the people on CNN and MSNBC agree with me! So, in order to calm the nerves of these wailers, I’ve decided to fact check some of these claims and “debunk” them. Shall we? 

CLAIM ONE

Joe Biden is trying to bankrupt America. 

Now why would anyone think this? The only thing our dear President has done since he took the mantle of power is redistribute wealth with a planned spend of over $6tr! Hello, we’re in the middle of a pandemic? It’s totally sensible to spend this much money, people are on lockdown. I mean, would you rather they went back to work and caught a virus with a 98% survival rate than sit indoors safely and be taken care of by our benevolent government? How is any of this socialism? Conservatives need to chill, always clutching at their damn pearls. Must be all that common sense, too much of it makes you too smart. Joe Biden has been very charitable since he took office in January. I mean, he’s already spent $1.9tn on the American Rescue Act, plans to spend another $2.3tn for the American Jobs Plan and  $1.8tn American Families Plan. All to better our lives. Why would anyone think Joe Biden is pushing socialism? Sure, he does plan on increasing taxes but that’s absolutely normal, the rich shouldn’t even have that much money to begin with. President Harris wants to raise the corporate tax rate to 28% less than four years after Don the Con slashed it from 35% to 21%, and people earning more than $400,000 could see their rates rise from 37% to 39.6%. Joe Biden is clearly nowhere close to socialism. It’s totally normal to increase the taxes of people who have been indoors for almost a year and then use the proceeds to push over $1 trillion in social spending. How is Joe Biden pushing socialism? How? It doesn’t make any sense! 

CLAIM TWO

Joe Biden is funneling socialism via open borders. 

Of all the claims about Joe Biden and socialism, this one takes the cake! Conservatives for some reason, think that there is a crisis at our borders. I mean, what is wrong with these people? Granted, there have been 171,000 illegal crossings in March alone, this is however totally Trump’s fault. If he hadn’t built those damn walls and beefed up the security as he did, these migrants wouldn’t be here today. It’s clear they were all motivated to prove the Orange clown wrong and took crossing the border as a challenge! It’s absolutely not due to Joe Biden and the Democrats’ proven record of looking the other way when it comes to illegals. Joe Biden is not pushing socialism in any way! Sure, we’ve seen the highest number of migrant children in border facilities since the government started counting. Sure, a Border Patrol tent in Donna, Texas, had to hold 5,700 migrants despite being of 250-person capacity. Granted, there are “Twice as many children are in Border Patrol custody under Biden than Trump peak in 2019”. None of these scream “Joe Biden” or “Socialism”. I think conservatives need to laugh more. All that anger and bile seems to be making them delusional. Border is out of control my foot. Next thing you know, they’ll tell you Joe Biden is continuing Trump’s border wall project. Wait, he isn’t is he? 

CLAIM THREE

Joe Biden is already behaving like a socialist dictator. 

The nerve of these people. Joe Biden hasn’t behaved like any of the leaders of the countries practicing socialism. How can anyone say he’s acting like Stalin? The audacity! And all because of Rudy Guiliani’s raid. How is Joe Biden pushing socialism because of a raid on Trump’s shady lawyer? It is absolutely normal to raid the home of the lawyer to the former President over the same issue that got him impeached, Ukraine. I mean, even Hunter Biden got raided. Wait, he didn’t? Doesn’t matter, he was going through a tough time with addiction and what not, why would you raid a man like that? And over what crime? It makes more sense to raid the home of a 76 year old man, brandishing guns and scaring the living crap out of him and his family. This is absolutely normal. It’s also absolutely normal that the FBI also executed a search warrant at the DC-area home of Victoria Toensing, who represented Trump during the Mueller investigations. It all makes sense doesn’t it? Joe Biden isn’t acting like a dictator high on socialism, at all. There are no indications that he is targeting the opposition in any way. He’s trying to get justice for the American people. Granted, he hasn’t delivered on most of his campaign promises, it’s issues like this that actually matter to the American people. 

The cries of the right wingers have become even louder since our amazing President broke records at the last poll. It is important that we ignore these cries. They’re just dog whistles for white supremacy. Joe Biden has shown that he hasn’t a single strand of socialism on his temple and I think it’s time conservatives came around. The past 100 days have been absolutely amazing for the country and it will only get better. It’s very important you ignore the cries of “rigged election” or “Voter ID”, these are just attempts to hold back our dear nation from the progressive future the Democrats have planned. We back Joe Biden and cannot wait for him to cancel our student loans, enact the Green Deal, implement gun control and make housing free for all. Please, how on earth is any of this socialism?
