In a development that has sent shockwaves around the globe, Yemen’s Armed Forces have officially declared war on Israel. The spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces and the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced that they have initiated large-scale military strikes on Israeli targets in what he referred to as the “occupied territories.”

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have been put on high alert following the missile strikes. They reported intercepting a surface-to-surface missile in the Red Sea area. In a televised announcement, Saree stated, “With the help of God Almighty, our [Yemeni] armed forces launched a large number of ballistic and winged missiles, as well as drones at various targets of the #Israeli enemy in the occupied territories.”
