Will Smith’s Role Model Rebukes Him for Hot-Headed Reaction
Everyone is still talking about what happened during the Oscars the other night and even the internet is flooded with memes.
That’s one thing that you can count on when it comes to the internet; if there is something big that happens, you can guarantee that there will be people who come up with some creative memes.
Remember back at Biden’s inauguration when Bernie Sanders was seen sitting in a chair looking like he was trying to stay warm during the event? Internet users created so many memes, and they were hilarious.
While the event that happened between Will Smith and Chris Rock was shocking, what he said following the incident while on stage didn’t make sense in light of what he had just done.
He gave this speech about being loving and such, yet not long before that he rushed the stage to slap someone in the face for telling a joke.
Part of his supposed inspiration for being a man of love as he alleges God has called him to be, comes from Venus and Serena Williams’ father, Richard Williams aka King Richard.
Well, as it turns out, King Richard had some words for Will Smith after the incident. He said, “We don’t know all the details of what happened. But we don’t condone anyone hitting anyone else unless it’s in self-defense.”
Smith has since apologized for the incident, as he should, because he was out of line. You don’t hit someone for telling jokes. Talk to him privately about it during a commercial break, or something else, but don’t hit them. That’s absurd.
Some people are defending Smith’s actions, but others made a very good point when they said that he was more okay with another man sleeping with his wife than he was of Chris Rock telling a joke about her hair.
