This is why border security is very very important to protecting our citizens.

The U.S. warned Mexico that there were three terror suspects connected to ISIS who they believed were migrating north from Panama and likely heading toward the U.S/Mexico border.

According to Breitbart,

Mexican authorities are on high alert regarding three ISIS-linked terror suspects who are believed to be making their way from Central America to Mexico and potentially the U.S. border. Authorities were warned the suspects could try to enter Mexico within a large migrant group or with the help of human smugglers.

Breitbart News exclusively confirmed that Mexican Federal Police are on alert, preparing to encounter or arrest Ahamed Ghanim Mohamed Al Juburi from Iraq, and Ibrahim Mohamed and Mohamed Eissa from Egypt. The three men are believed to have entered through Panama in May, crossed through Costa Rica on June 9, and could be headed to Mexico, a leaked internal security memo revealed. The documents make reference to BITMAP, the U.S. Homeland Security Investigations’ Biometric Identification Transnational Migration Alert Program, a collection of databases on “special interest aliens, violent criminals, fugitives and confirmed or suspected terrorists encountered within illicit pathways.”

1. We broke news that US identified ISIS suspects heading to border and warned Mexico.

2. Mexico’s President and other high ranking officials are now on record saying it’s true.

3. US media outlets still aren’t reporting on it, but Mexico’s media outlets are reporting on it.

The Blaze reported,

Mexican Public Security Secretary Alfonso Durazo characterized the alert from the U.S. as “common.”

“It is a memo from U.S. security agencies, and it is common to receive such alerts,” Durazo said. “It does not necessarily mean that the people were pretending to enter (Mexico) … and of course in the eventuality that they tried to enter the country they would be detained under this alert.”

Mexico, as part of its cooperation with the United States to curb migration and illegal immigration into the United States, has deployed National Guard troops to its own southern border to decrease the flow of individual migrants, families and caravans that have been traveling to the U.S. border to seek asylum.

So we need two things to maintain good security at the border.

First we need good physical barriers to prevent people from entering unlawfully and without being vetted and secondly, we need good communication like this to continue to occur between us and Mexico.
