WHOA! Senator Tells Us What He Really Thinks About Iran’s General
So Iranian general Qassem Soleimani was killed on Thursday and believe it or not, this has created disagreements within Washington.
It’s hard to believe, but some members of Congress – from the left of course – have condemned the killing of the general, but really it’s only because it was President Trump who did it.
Where was the outrage when former President Obama killed Osama Bin Laden? There wasn’t any, because he was a terrorist who has killed thousands of Americans.
That’s the same reason Soleimani was killed as well, expect it was “only” hundreds of Americans rather than thousands. Plus based on intel, he was planning an attack on the U.S.
However, most Americans recognize that this was something that needed to be done, especially Senator Ben Sasse.
Senator Ben Sasse issued the following on the death of Iranian General Soleimani:
“This is very simple: General Soleimani is dead because he was an evil bastard who murdered Americans. The President made the brave and right call, and Americans should be proud of our servicemembers who got the job done. Tehran is on edge – the mullahs have already slaughtered at least a thousand innocent Iranians – and before they lash out further they should know that the U.S. military can bring any and all of these IRGC butchers to their knees.”
What’s interesting though is that even Tucker Carlson has something to say about Sasse’s comment.
“The President made the brave and right call, and Americans should be proud of our service members who got the job done.”
“Nothing about life and certainly nothing about killing is ever very simple,” Carlson responded. “And any politician tells you otherwise is dumb or is lying.”
“Yes, Soleimani was linked to the deaths of Americans. Nobody mourns his passing. But Mexico and China are also linked to the deaths of Americans. Each has flooded our country with narcotics from which tens of thousands of Americans die every single year,” Carlson argued. “Not that anyone in power cares. So does that mean we get to bomb Oaxaca? Can we start assassinating generals in the [Chinese] People’s Liberation Army?”
