What We Know About the Supermarket Shooting So Far
So here is what we know so far about the tragic incident that happened this week in Boulder, Colorado:
First, we know that the shooter’s name is Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa.
He emigrated from Syria with his family, and practices the “peaceful” religion of Islam.
We know that he didn’t say anything upon entering the supermarket. He simply started shooting from the get-go.
The shooter was wearing either a tactical or armored vest.
His brother said that he was made fun of in school, that he was anti-social, and that he was paranoid. “He always suspected someone was behind him, someone was chasing him,” his brother said.
“We kept a close eye on him when he was in high school. He would say, ‘Someone is chasing me, someone is investigating me.’ And we’re like, ‘Come on man. There’s nothing.’ … He was just closing into himself,” the brother added.
Now Joe Biden is calling for Congress to enact immediate legislation to infringe upon our Second Amendment rights.
If you ask me, I think the solution is quite obvious. There are certain people who I think shouldn’t own guns and I think you can read my mind and know who they are.
Regardless, there are some people that you’re never going to stop from getting guns, and that is criminals. No amount of gun laws will prevent criminals from breaking those laws and acquiring guns. This will only ultimately affect law-abiding citizens and will just prevent them from being able to defend themselves and their property.
In fact, the things that the Democrats are wanting to pass in this gun reform bill…universal background checks, red flag gun seizure laws, hi-capacity magazine bans…all of that already exists in Colorado. Did it help? No!
If these sort of laws worked like they want them to, then we wouldn’t have drugs in our country.
