Have you ever left a bad review for a business on Google or Yelp?

I think most people haven’t, but every once in a while people do. In my life, I’ve probably given a rating on about 0.5% of my purchases. Honestly, it may not even be that high. I never leave reviews after I go out to eat somewhere, and almost never do I leave a review for anything I purchase on Amazon.

More than likely, if I’ve left a review on a product on Amazon, it’s because it was a book that I read.

I bet one man wishes that were the case with him after what happened recently.

The man who works as a financial adviser in Connecticut, was actually arrested and fired from his job after going on a racist tirade inside of a smoothie shop. Following the publication of the video, he was flooded with negative reviews.

James Iannazzo, 48, was hit with more than 1,000 one-star ratings on Google after he was caught on camera throwing a smoothie at a teenage employee and calling her a “f—ing immigrаnt” in a wild scene at a Robeks in Fairfield.

“I would rate zero stars if I could. Enjoy being in the unemployment line while the ‘immigrants’ are out here actually earning their money,” one review said.

“So wish I was there to help. What a big man, yelling at 3 or 4 school girls,” one reviewer wrote, while another said: “Terrible guy! Thank God he lost his job. Towering over those girls! Disgusting.”

Another one-star review said: “I would give him a zero but my only option is a 1. Stinky.”

Here’s the simple thing and it’s something that I actually think I’ve actually improved on in the last two years given everything we’ve been through: just be nice to people. There is no reason to be a jerk. Be patient with them. Let’s work on making life better for everyone.
