He was railing against Israel, declaring that they could not “escape the wrath of God”. And what happened next? Well, would you believe that he collapsed from a heart attack right then and there?

“Even if history remains silent, the truth will not remain silent. They think that if they get rid of us, there will be no problem,” he said in a translation of his speech. “However, if you get rid of us, you will not be able to escape the torment of conscience. Even if you escape the torment of history, you will not be able to escape the wrath of God.”

Poor Bitmez was in the middle of his fiery speech when he suddenly turned and fell to the floor. It’s like one of those dramatic soap opera moments you see on TV, only this was real life. Turkish officials later revealed that during angiography, it was found that two of his main veins were completely blocked. I guess his veins just couldn’t handle all that hot air he was spewing.

Now, I’m no doctor, but it seems like Bitmez might have been better off focusing on his health rather than trying to condemn an entire nation. But hey, what do I know? I’m just a guy who thinks politicians should stick to politics and leave divine retribution to the man upstairs.
