A fight broke out on New Year’s Eve night at a McDonald’s in St. Petersburg, Florida.

The altercation occurred over – get this – a straw.

According to Fox News,

In a viral video of the incident, a man identified as Daniel Taylor is seen grabbing Yasmine James by the shirt with both hands and pulling her toward him. She then starts punching him as he holds on. The two go at it for about 20 seconds before the other employees intervene.

Taylor was escorted out of the restaurant and police were called to the scene. On his way out the door, he kicked another employee in the stomach.

While I explain what else happened, let me rant a little…

When you look at some of the things that have been said about this incident, it really shows how stupid and racist many Americans have become.

Let’s look at a few examples:

But herein lies the problem of Americans…false, baseless racist assumptions. Really though, what the h*** does it matter if she’s a POC (person of color) or not? You can clearly see what I mean here.

Why does it even need to be mentioned that he was white and she was black? It’s wrong regardless of skin color. It. Does. Not. Matter.

The natural assumption nowadays is that white people are racist. Trump supporters are racist because Trump is racist. If a white person attacks a black person, it’s because of racism. But this is not true. Don’t buy into what the MSM feeds us every day.

He attacked her over a straw because he’s a d***. She fought back and rightly so. But let’s not make this about race. In fact, the sooner we abandon this racist mentality, the sooner we can all get back to living normal lives again.
