Veteran Disney Employee Speaks Out: ‘We’re Ashamed to Work for This Company’
Some people are very principled and intentional in what they do, where they go, and what they watch.
There are often calls to boycott this or that, but often times, those calls go unanswered because Americans have come to a point in history where we just can’t be bothered with inconvenience.
For example, years ago there was a huge call to boycott Netflix once they realized that disturbing movie involving young girls, absolutely appalling. And while some people dropped their Netflix accounts, other didn’t or the ones who did ended up resubscribing anyway.
Now, the battle is with a giant bigger than Netflix. Disney is in the middle of a culture war and they are doing irreversible harm to their brand. But when you’re the only thing that’s like what you have, it’s hard for people to actually boycott them and they know that.
It’s one thing to say that you’re against them, but it’s another thing to actually follow through with what you say you’re going to do.
I know people who are against what Disney is doing, yet they went to Disney World last week. What sense does that make? Like I said, they just can’t bother being inconvenienced in today’s culture. We have soft people today and soft people causes problems and leads to hard times which then breeds strong people who then create easy times. It’s a vicious cycle.
But regarding Disney, more and more people are coming out against them, even stating that they’re ashamed to even work for the company.
The employee, a custodial cast member of 35 years for Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park, spoke to The Epoch Times under the condition of anonymity for the fear of being fired.
He said Disney’s stance against the Parental Rights in Education bill is just another part of the ongoing effort of the company’s new progressive management to push their “California Disney liberal policies” onto the Disney experience of the Sunshine State.
“They’re calling it the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill,” the cast member told The Epoch Times. “It’s not a ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill. It’s a parental rights issue.”
“What they’re doing with this inclusion clause and the fight over the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill is they are creating a problem that never existed before,” he said. “They’re wanting to ‘solve’ a problem that they are creating. Ask the average gay employee at Disney and they will tell you, they agree with DeSantis.”
But honestly, it’s disgusting at just how far Disney, a kids company, is willing to go to defend and push this disturbing leftist propaganda.
