US Women’s Soccer Legends Get DESTROYED by Men’s Team
Liberals want to pretend like there is no advantage for biological men when it comes to them competing against biological women. We’ve seen this disproven countless times just in the past few years. If this were true, we wouldn’t be seeing all of these “transwomen” dominating women’s sports like they are. Almost without exception, they enter a women’s sport and quickly become the dominant athlete. In some cases, they aren’t even touchable.
This whole ideology was just disproven once again in a recent soccer match in a game of men versus women. Wrexham AFC, a team from Wales consisting of current, former, and guest players, beat a team of U.S. women’s soccer legends and some of the best female players in the world in a game with an astonishing 12-0 score. The game was part of “The Tournament,” a 7-on-7 soccer competition that offered a $1 million prize to the winning team. This information was reported by CBS Sports.
The “US Women” brought a team made up of “a roster full of some of the best women’s soccer players in the world,” which was “captained by legendary U.S. Women’s National Team player Heather O’Reilly. O’Reilly has been playing professional soccer since 2004.”
The women’s team did not have a good outcome in the game. They gave up seven goals in the first 20 minutes of the game which consisted of two 20-minute halves. The game ended with a final and 12th goal which initiated a mercy rule just after the 40th minute in the overtime period. Although Lindsey Harris, the goalie, was often emotional and dejected, the women’s team did not make any excuses and had a positive outlook on the game.
“We’re super proud,” said O’Reilly, a World Cup Champion. “Hopefully we’ve proved to anybody, just go for it, just live. What’s the worst that could happen? We lose 16-0 to Wrexham?” she asked.
“We don’t care because we’re living, we’re being bold and we’re being brave. Here we have two amazing products that American soccer fans are getting behind. It’s just a ton of fun and it’s brought all of us together,” she added.
The team played three games and scored one goal. They lost 5-0 to a team representing historically black colleges and universities and 7-1 to a second-tier professional Italian team. Wrexham AFC, a Welsh club, is owned by actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. Their celebrity ownership has helped the team rise in the ranks of English soccer.
The female players’ positive responses are in contrast to the U.S. Women’s National Team, who sued the U.S. Soccer Federation for not receiving equal pay to the men’s national team. The federation settled for $24 million, with player Megan Rapinoe, who spoke on the issue in political talk shows, included in the lawsuit. She has also joined a group opposing the exclusion of transgender women in female sports.
