Biden Announces Plan To Deal With Gas Prices Amid Trump Proposal
Recently, the White House made a huge announcement fresh off a rough few days.
The Biden team has been rocked since Joe’s appearances in Italy, what happened at the LA fundraiser, and Trump tips plan.
For those that don’t know, one of Trump’s campaign promises is to pass a bill that would no longer tax tips received by service industry employees.
That he led the Biden administration to release a statement that if gas prices go up President Joe Biden would consider releasing more oil from America’s strategic reserves.
Biden has yet to refill the reserves he already drained trying to lower prices earlier in his administration.
We call this desperation and the internal polls must be brutal.
Trump’s tip policy is incredibly popular so much so that the media won’t even discuss it.
The Biden administration has been rocked with accusations that he doesn’t care about how Americans are struggling so this appears to be their solution. As a result, there is talk of taking measures to “cut them down a little bit further.” Amos Hochstein, Special Presidential Coordinator for Global Infrastructure and Energy Security, has asserted that everything possible will be done to ensure that the market is well supplied to facilitate as low a price as possible for American consumers. He further added that the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) has sufficient reserves if need be.
Folks, this is like throwing a band-aid on a bleeding artery.
Last month, the Biden administration announced the sale of one million barrels of gasoline from the Northeast Gasoline Supply Reserve as of May 21st, just a week before Memorial Day. The Department of Energy disclosed that this sale was strategically timed to maximize its impact on gasoline prices, aiming to lower prices at the pump for the summer.
“We are laser-focused on lowering prices at the pump for American families, especially as drivers hit the road for summer driving season.” said Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm. She further elaborated that by strategically releasing this reserve between Memorial Day and July 4, they are ensuring sufficient supply for the tristate and Northeast regions when they need it the most.
This has backfire all over it.
