Just recently military officials reported that “five to six Mexican military personnel questioned two U.S. Army soldiers who were conducting border support operations.”

The kicker is that during this time, the Mexican military personnel had their weapons pointed at the soldiers.

That’s not going to fly with President Trump. He’s not going to put up with that at all.

President Trump announced via Twitter, “Mexico’s Soldiers recently pulled guns on our National Guard Soldiers, probably as a diversionary tactic for drug smugglers on the Border. Better not happen again! We are now sending ARMED SOLDIERS to the Border. Mexico is not doing nearly enough in apprehending & returning!”

According to Fox News,

President Trump on Wednesday warned Mexico after their soldiers reportedly drew guns on U.S. troops at the border last week, while also calling on America’s southern neighbor to do more to halt another north-bound migrant caravan.

“Mexico’s Soldiers recently pulled guns on our National Guard Soldiers, probably as a diversionary tactic for drug smugglers on the Border. Better not happen again! We are now sending ARMED SOLDIERS to the Border. Mexico is not doing nearly enough in apprehending & returning!” he tweeted.

The president’s tweets come after several Mexican military personnel reportedly questioned U.S Army soldiers who were on patrol duty near the border in Texas. Mexican soldiers reportedly pointed their weapons at U.S. troops during the encounter. The Mexican soldiers reportedly believed that the U.S. Army soldiers were on Mexican territory.

Part of the confusion was that the American soldiers were on the Mexican side of the border fence, but that portion was still actually U.S. soil. But the problem was them pointing guns at our troops.

That’s a big no-no.

The President is right about this. Mexico isn’t doing much at all to help stop this massive influx of migrants moving through their own country into ours.
