Recently, ABC’s “The View” hosted a well known liberal political commentator but the interview did not go the way they had hoped.

Joy Behar and company hosted Bill Maher, known for his unfiltered political commentary and he recently sparked a heated debate during his appearance. Unlike many left-leaning commentators, Maher is recognized for his straightforward approach, often criticizing both sides of the political spectrum without hesitation. This honesty was on full display as he confronted the hosts of “The View,” particularly Joy Behar, over their approach to political criticism.

This piece is not that Bill Maher is a great guy, heck, he’s partially why things are the way they are in media. However, wait until you see the differnce between a thinker (Maher) and a puppet (the hosts of The View).

The clash began when Maher addressed the tendency of some media personalities to protect certain political figures. Joy Behar admitted that she refrains from criticizing President Joe Biden, fearing that doing so might inadvertently support Donald Trump. This revelation highlighted a significant difference in approach: while Maher prioritizes honesty and integrity in his commentary, Behar’s approach seems driven by political strategy.

You could have heard a pin drop when Maher gave a blunt assessment of Biden’s performance and that fueled the debate. He commented on Biden’s age, describing him as “cadaver-like” and noting that he “presents old.” These harsh words visibly unsettled Behar, who struggled to counter Maher’s points convincingly.

The discussion then shifted to Trump supporters, with Behar equating them to the World War Two Germany. Maher, while not defending Trump, emphasized the importance of not demonizing half the country. He argued that hating all Trump supporters is not only unfair but also harmful to the nation. Maher stated, “I don’t want to live in a country where I hate half the country, and I don’t hate half the country.”
