Texas Going Blue? Yeah Right!
Y’all have probably seen the crazy stories from the CNNs of the world trying to tell voters that Texas might actually vote for Biden in 2020. I literally laugh out loud when I write those words.
As a native Texan living in the Dallas area, let me be the first to tell you that this narrative is simply not true. In fact, I think it’s more likely that Texas will secede before the state votes for a Democratic president ever again.
A Great State
Texas is a proud state. Some might call the people in Texas arrogant or too prideful. But we are proud of this state for good reason. Our incredible history (Alamo!), booming economy (oil and gas), and beautiful women (Farrah Fawcett) are just a few of those reasons. It’s such a long list that maybe I should write a separate story about why Texas is so great.
I digress…
My point is that most Texans understand how and why Texas is such a wonderful place to live. And that means we understand that Democrat policies will change so much of what makes Texas great.
Public Support
As I drive around Dallas, I see so many yard signs for Republican congressional and senatorial candidates but not a lot of Trump signs. In some of the same yards that have five or six Republican signs, there aren’t Trump signs. Sadly, we live in a time when you have to be careful about showing your political affiliations. In other words, people with a yard full of Republican signs, but no Trump sign, aren’t voting for Biden.
Here’s a picture I took last week in a Dallas neighborhood. It says “Please stop taking our Trump signs. Freedom of speech matters!”
Signs are either being stolen or the homeowners avoid putting out their Trump signs because they don’t want to risk a BLM riot or an Antifa homemade bomb through their window.
But between the Republican signs I am seeing and the conversations I am having with all types of people, Trump has a ton of support around Texas.
The Shy Voter
Let me sum up the reason why polling might show a close race in Texas. It all comes down to the “shy voter”.
The shy voters are the ones that don’t feel comfortable sharing their voting preferences with a random polling person over the phone. Sometimes, these people won’t even tell their friends, family, or coworkers who they plan to vote for. As we have all seen for months, people sharing their opinions with the “politically correct” crowd might lead them to being harassed, beat up, have their house vandalized, or they could be “cancelled” at work or school.
The deranged left has created an environment where it is okay to shame and hurt people for their political beliefs.
Watch the below interview with Hannity and Robert Cahaly, a chief pollster for the Trafalgar Group. This polling group was only one of two pollsters that correctly predicted the outcome of the 2016 election.
Many Americans like myself won’t be surprised at all to see Trump win in November. However, once that happens, prepare yourselves for the next battle as Democrats will undoubtedly cry out that the election was rigged.
