Texas Congresswoman Comments On Second Attack On Trump
The second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump in just over two months highlights a disturbing escalation in political violence. While Republicans are calling for increased protection for the former president, Democrats and their allies in the media continue to use inflammatory rhetoric that, intentionally or not, fans the flames of hatred and violence. This rhetoric isn’t just irresponsible—it’s dangerous.
Take Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), for example, who appeared on MSNBC’s Inside with Jen Psaki just hours before the attempt, labeling MAGA supporters as “threats” to the country and pushing the narrative that Kamala Harris is the only person fit to be commander-in-chief. That kind of divisive rhetoric might play well with the media’s left-leaning base, but it’s no stretch to see how it might embolden extremists to take matters into their own hands.

On Sunday night, after the attempt on Trump’s life, Crockett’s official account shared a post saying, “Political violence has no place in a democracy,” yet she made no such statements on her political account. Conveniently, her political account did repost clips of her earlier appearance on Inside with Jen Psaki, where she had stoked division. The hypocrisy is glaring.
Crockett isn’t new to stirring the pot when it comes to Trump. After the first assassination attempt in July, she doubled down on her support for a bill she had sponsored in April—the DISGRACED Former Protectees Act, which aimed to strip Trump of Secret Service protection. Can you imagine a sitting congresswoman suggesting such a move against any other former president? It’s a reckless, partisan move that signals to the public that political violence is somehow justified against this particular individual.

Meanwhile, Republicans are taking the real threat seriously. On Tuesday, Senators Tommy Tuberville and Roger Marshall led a press conference calling for stronger protection for Trump, addressing the gravity of the situation that Crockett and her ilk are willfully ignoring. They, along with other Republican senators, sent a letter to Acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe, demanding that the former president, who remains the Republican front-runner for 2024, receive greater security to prevent future attempts on his life.
The stark contrast between Republicans’ actions and Democrats’ rhetoric couldn’t be clearer. While Crockett and others pay lip service to condemning political violence, they turn around and engage in the very kind of rhetoric that inspires it. Democrats in the media, including the likes of Psaki and Crockett, have been driving the narrative that Trump and his supporters are a threat to democracy. It’s the same tired line they’ve been pushing since 2016, but now it’s led to violence—real, tangible attempts on the life of a former president.
Oh the evil & illogical who don’t even serve on my level believe they have sway or authority over me (insert white privilege).
While I’ve been out of the country on official business, these losers have been looking for Twitter clout.

We’re at a dangerous point where rhetoric has real-world consequences, and the left doesn’t seem to care. Instead of cooling the temperature, they’re pushing it higher, all while denying any responsibility. The selective condemnation of violence—only when it suits their agenda—isn’t just hypocritical; it’s outright reckless.
The Democrats have been playing with fire for years, labeling Trump as an existential threat to democracy, but when actual violence erupts, they suddenly want to pretend they had nothing to do with it. The truth is that their words matter, and when high-profile Democrats and their allies in the media vilify Trump to this extent, they’re laying the groundwork for extremists to act on those words.
