Rep. Crenshaw WRECKS Elizabeth Warren’s Student Loan Cancellation Plan, Accuses Her of Crime
Recently at an event, Elizabeth Warren was confronted by a man who had a concern about her student debt cancellation plan.
Here is how that conversation went down:
MAN: I just want to ask one question. My daughter’s getting out of school. I saved all my money. She doesn’t have any student loans.
WARREN: God bless you.
MAN: Am I going to get my money back?
WARREN: Of course not.
MAN: So, you’re gonna pay for people who didn’t save any money, and those of us who did the right thing get screwed?
WARREN: No, it’s not anybody got screwed.
MAN: Of course we did. My buddy had fun, bought a car, went on vacations. I saved my money. He made more than I did. I worked a double [shift to] make the extra money.
The man is right and this is a clear cut example of how something like this isn’t fair for everyday Americans.
Some people have accrued tens of thousands of dollars in student debt because the cost has skyrocketed so much due to corrupt practices. Then they work their butts off to pay off that debt all the while pinching and saving where they can so they can rid themselves of their debt. Sometimes this can go on for decades.
Let’s say someone finally got the $75,000 in student debt paid off through hard work, and then next year, Joe Schmoe who racked up a huge bill as well, dropped out and never got a degree, has been living it up and not paying his student debt, now gets it taken off and he’s all the better because he’s been spending his money on the things he’s wanted, while the first person has just lived a menial life to pay off what he owed and is really the one who suffers in this situation.
Rep. Crenshaw appeared on Fox and Friends to talk about her braindead plan. Here’s what Crenshaw said:
“He’s asking the question that a lot of Americans would like to ask Elizabeth Warren, and Bernie Sanders, and everybody who’s offering to cancel student debt. It’s a false sense of compassion that they’re offering. They always cloak their policies in compassion, but it’s a lie. This isn’t fair. It’s not fair to take from other people and give to someone else just because you want their votes. That’s the definition of buying votes.”
He’s spot on. It IS buying votes.
She’s essentially telling Americans that if you vote for me and I win, I’ll give you $75,000 (or whatever number they owe) that will pay off your student debt.
