The war between Russia and Ukraine wages on. It was supposed to be a quick operation and was supposed to end months ago, yet here we are still at it and we’re still throwing billions upon billions of dollars to Ukraine to try and keep them afloat.

Recently, Russia actually offered a cease-fire and Ukraine said no.

Last week, Russia annexed a small number of territories in Ukraine and is now calling them part of Russia.

But also last week, Putin accused the “dictatorship of the Western elites” as being “directed against all societies, including the peoples of the Western countries themselves.” Modern Western wokeism seeks “a complete denial of man, the overthrow of faith and traditional values, the suppression of freedom acquiring the features of a ‘reverse religion’” which Putin called “outright Satanism.”

“Do we want to have, here, in our country, in Russia, Parent Number One, Number Two, Number Three, instead of Mom and Dad – have they gone mad out there?” Putin accused the West of “perversions that lead to degradation” being “imposed on children in our schools from the primary grades. To be drummed into them that there are various supposed genders besides women and men, and to be offered a sex change operation. Do we want all this for our country and our children? For us, all this is unacceptable, we have a different future, our own future.”

Honestly, though, I can’t say that I necessarily disagree with Putin. The crap that we have going on in the United States today is ridiculous. Putin isn’t wrong. We do have wacky transgender propaganda being pushing upon children. We do have broken family structures where there are different structures other than a Mom and Dad.

Maybe it’s just a show that Putin is putting on though. I don’t find myself very convinced that Putin actually cares about these values, but I think that he knows they are important and traditional values.
