It has been rather amazing to watch and see how far elected representatives in this country are willing to go with their words to villainize President Trump. 

Not that there ever was a line in the sand, but if there were, Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.) stepped over it, rubbed it out, and made sure it was washed away forever with his recent statements about Trump while interviewing on CNN with Chris Cuomo. 

Way Over the Line

Karma is a rather incredible element to the universe in that it always seems to level out the playing field. It may take some time to catch up, but it always does.

It will be interesting to see how Karma decides to pay back Democrats and the mainstream media for the new narrative they are spewing now, regularly comparing Donald Trump to Hitler and his administration to the Nazis. 

CNN seems to be taking the lead on this, playing actual videos of Nazis in the background while talking about the end of the Trump administration.

Then there is Rep. Clyburn, who seemed to become unhinged during a recent interview with Chris Cuomo on CNN.

Let’s Set the Record Straight

Trump has been anything but a dictator during his first four years in office. He has begged Democrats to come to the table and work with him but led by House Speaker Pelosi (D-CA) and Senate Minority Leader Schumer (D-N.Y.), Democrats have done more grandstanding than legislating.

Everyone needs to remember that while this pandemic was in its early stages but very much on the Trump Administration’s radar, Democrats were impeaching him on charges we now know were completely false and proven to be false by the Mueller report. 

It was only AFTER Trump’s State of the Union address that Democrats started to even think about talking about the pandemic, long after Trump has made several moves, including the shutdown of travel from China, a move many of them, including Joe Biden, protested. 

When they do present legislation, they do so without consulting with Republicans and present fantasy legislation packed with Democrat programs that have no chance whatsoever of passing (the HEROES Act comes to mind). 

If we start looking forward to the Biden administration, his team has not hidden the fact that if Republicans win at least one of the Senate seats remaining in the Georgia runoff election on January 5, thereby retaining the majority, Biden will make ample use of Executive Orders to govern. 

That, by its very definition, is circumventing our legislative system and governing in a way that resembles more of a dictatorship than what we would expect from a Democratic Republic.
