Pelosi Attends Kamala’s Howard University Speech
As the dust settles on the 2024 election, it’s clear that Democrats are facing a reckoning, and at the center of it is Rep. Nancy Pelosi. A key player in the behind-the-scenes maneuvering that saw Joe Biden sidelined in favor of Kamala Harris, Pelosi’s plan to “save” the party with a quick fix has backfired spectacularly.
Biden was quietly moved aside without a single primary vote, and Harris was ushered in as the party’s new face—all in the name of preserving control, without consulting the American people. Now, with Harris’s loss to Donald Trump, Pelosi’s gamble has blown up in the Democrats’ faces, leaving her reputation and influence damaged beyond repair.
Inject this clip straight into my veins this morning:

Pelosi’s reaction to the loss was telling. Confronted about Harris’s defeat, she reportedly responded with, “There is no point in saying good morning, because it certainly is not one.” Her frustration was on full display at Harris’s concession speech at Howard University, where she was seen in a visibly intense exchange with former acting DNC Chairwoman Donna Brazile, as D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser looked on. At one point, Brazile even seemed to throw up a dismissive “talk to the hand” gesture, to which Pelosi reacted with pointed frustration. For many watching, it was a stark visual representation of the chaos and finger-pointing now gripping the Democratic Party.
Pelosi isn’t alone in facing criticism. Former President Barack Obama, who supported the plan to replace Biden with Harris, is now similarly implicated in the fallout. Kevin O’Leary, also known as “Mr. Wonderful” from Shark Tank, weighed in on the mess, suggesting on Fox News that the era of elites like Pelosi, Schumer, and Obama unilaterally deciding the party’s direction might be over. O’Leary argued that voters are growing tired of out-of-touch policies that don’t reflect “the American way of life” and that the party’s loss could be an opportunity to shift back to the center, should Democrats be willing to learn from it.

But if this election was a wake-up call, it’s one the Democrats don’t seem eager to heed. While the temptation may be to scapegoat Biden for his supposed “decline” or to pin Harris’s loss on factors outside the party’s control, the truth is that Pelosi and other Democratic leaders made a conscious choice to bypass a primary and roll the dice on Harris. Had they been transparent about Biden’s challenges months ago, the party might have had time to run a primary and choose a candidate with a stronger connection to voters.
Instead, the plan to sideline Biden left them scrambling with Harris as their standard-bearer, a candidate who ultimately failed to resonate with the electorate. In states Democrats once counted on as reliable, Trump gained ground, underscoring just how out of touch the party has become with the concerns of everyday Americans. The attempt to install Harris without a primary has not only cost the Democrats the White House but also eroded trust within the party’s base and alienated key voter blocs.
Holy smokes!
Kevin O’Leary just said that Nancy Pelosi’s and Chuck Schumer’s gripping influence on the Democratic party is GONE after this election.
