Outrage Ensues After Pro Fishermen Caught Cheating During Tournament (VIDEO)
As someone who grew up in the South, I was brought up as someone who fished a lot. We had our own pond that was stocked with plenty of fish, plus my grandfather owned the lake that was next to our property. There were still other places to fish, but needless to say that I have plenty of opportunity to fish.
In most places, you need a license to fish, but I never needed a license until I was about 19 years old because I had always fished on either my own property or someone else’s property.
I was pretty good at catching fish back in the day, but I’m nothing compared to some of these professional fisherman. I don’t understand how they do it. They know what to use to catch various kinds of fish and they know it well. I’m sure there is something to it, some sort of knowledge to gain, but I’ve never bothered to try and learn it because I’m not much of a fisherman anymore. But I still do appreciate the sport (yes, sport) of fishing.
But in the professional fishing world, there has been a massive controversy arise. Two pro fishermen were caught cheating last week.
Some of you may not even be aware at how you can cheat when fishing. It’s not like you can irresistibly attract fish by using some sort of magical bait, can you? Well, if you’re Hank Hill you can. I remember there was an episode of King of the Hill where Hank thought that he was buying some fishing bait, but it turned out that he was buying drugs. He used the drugs to fish with and he caught them like crazy.
But that’s not what happened here. What happened is that the two cheaters were stuffing weights into the fish so that they would weigh more.
The Daily Wire reported,
After Chase Cominsky and Jake Runyon were declared winners at the weigh-in at the Lake Erie Walleye Trail Championship (LEWT) in Cleveland, their fellow competitors found some bizarre items stuffed in their catches, TMZ reported. Video of the incident shows someone cutting open the fish and pulling out what appears to be lead weights and even the filets of another fish that the men had allegedly stuffed down the throats of their catches to make them heavier.
Multiple people can be heard urging someone to “call the cops” and file a police report over the alleged cheating scandal.
“You got thousands of f***ing dollars you stole from everyone!” someone accuses.

Apparently, this isn’t the first time that these men have been accused of cheating either.
