On Monday, Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) presented articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for their alleged poor performance in their leadership roles. As per the reports from Fox News on Monday, the articles state that Biden has misused his power as President to protect his family’s business and corrupt practices from public scrutiny and congressional investigation.

Ogles claimed in a social media post on Monday that Biden and Harris have failed to safeguard and uphold the Constitution.

“They have mired their office in criminal activity and political weaponization. It is time their corruption be brought to task with the full force of the law,” he added.

According to documents, it is claimed that the President’s actions regarding the crisis at the Southern border have been contrary to public trust and subversive to constitutional government. This has caused great harm to the cause of law and justice and injured the people of the United States. During the State of the Union Address in February, Ogles shouted, “It’s your fault” at Biden while he was talking about fentanyl deaths.

“He has left our border wide open and allowed our streets to be flooded with drugs; meanwhile, 60% of women and children are raped trying to cross. Yes, it’s his fault,” he stated.

WKRN reported that Ogles made a statement on Monday, saying that Joe Biden not only failed in his leadership, but also violated his oath to protect the Constitution of the United States.

“Joe Biden has repeatedly abused his position of power, both as vice president and president, to cover up his illicit family business dealings and exploitation of taxpayer resources,” he concluded.

According to a WKRN report, if a government official is impeached, they may be removed from office and prohibited from further government service. As for the impeachment articles against Vice President Harris, Fox News reports they focus on her handling of issues at the southern border and allege “extraordinary incompetence” in her performance of those duties.

Republicans criticized Harris for being named the “Border Czar” by Biden in 2021 but delaying a visit to the border and being slow to address the situation.
