Ocasio-Cortez Outright Labels Nancy Pelosi as a Racist
It seems like another battle has broken out between Democrats in the House of Representatives once again.
It’s not like it much of a surprise since nowadays every single one of them believes something different about everything and can’t agree on much.
Most recently, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez accused Nancy Pelosi of singling her and some other out because she’s racist.
According to Fox News,
Pelosi has worked to keep the Democratic caucus in line, specifically four newly-elected outspoken progressives: Ocasio-Cortez, Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., and Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass..
However, a feud between Pelosi and the quartet escalated after Congress passed a border funding bill that the four young Democrats opposed. Pelosi discussed the bill, and those in her party who oppose it, in an interview last weekend. She told the New York Times: “All these people have their public whatever and their Twitter world, but they didn’t have any following. They’re four people, and that’s how many votes they got.”
Ocasio-Cortez said,
“When these comments first started, I kind of thought that she was keeping the progressive flank at more of an arm’s distance in order to protect more moderate members, which I understood. “But the persistent singling out…it got to a point where it was just outright disrespectful…the explicit singling out of newly elected women of color.”
To Ocasio-Cortez I would respond saying, “No stupid. It’s not that Pelosi is singling out people like you. It just so happens that the ones who are being racist, anti-Semitic, and proposing idiotic ideas have all been you, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib.
It’s obvious that Pelosi is tired of dealing with AOC’s garbage Twitter posts. The Speaker said, “You got a complaint? You come and talk to me about it. But do not tweet about our members and expect us to think that is just okay.”
Apparently, Ocasio-Cortez has not spoken with Pelosi since February…which was when she took her seat in the House.
“There hasn’t really been a relationship, to be frank. It’s difficult,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
