New Limited-Edition Cereal Will Change the Way You Eat Your Morning Breakfast
There is an older movie from the 90s called Friday. I’m sure many of you have seen it. It’s a funny movie about a couple of guys who are hanging out on a Friday and it just goes through the day of everything that they encounter.
In one scene, the main character “Craig” who is played by rapper Ice Cube is making himself a bowl of cereal when he discovers that they are all out of milk. So his dad, played by John Witherspoon tells him to put some water on it.
It’s not an appetizing thought to put some water on a bowl of cereal. If you’ve ever tried it, then you know that it’s not good.
I’ve tried a number of weird combinations and concoctions in my life upon not having whatever it is that I actually needed. I’ve even tried orange juice on cereal. I know…it tastes just as bad as it sounds.
But Tropicana is looking to address that exact situation by producing a cereal that is designed to be eaten with orange juice instead of milk.
The juice giant announced that it is testing a cereal that is meant to be eaten with orange juice instead of milk. “Tropicana Crunch” is advertised as “the first cereal made for OJ (and maybe the last).” Tropicana will be giving away free boxes through an exclusive website, tropicanacrunch.com, beginning on National Orange Juice Day, May 4, while supplies last.
“Prepare your mind and cereal bowl for an unforgettable breakfast experience,” Tropicana wrote on the cereal’s website, advertising the experimental cereal as “crispy and ready to get citrusy.”
“Orange juice on cereal,” the website continues. “Some call it weird. Some call it breakfast. We . . . didn’t even know it was a thing. But turns out, there are totally normal people amongst us juicing up their cereal bowls. You might be one of them! So for those who are cereal curious like us, we made Tropicana Crunch. Cereal that’s down to be drowned in OJ. Honey almond clusters that are made to be spooned and sipped. A breakfast taste test we can all take together. Because whether you hate it or love it, you won’t know until you try it. Tropicana Crunch. It may not be for everyone (but it could be for you!)[.]”
Would I try it? Absolutely! I personally love orange juice and can’t get enough of it. When I was a teenager, it was practically the only thing that I would drink. As an adult, we don’t normally buy it because of it being more expensive, and I just typically drink water now, but I would be excited to try this cereal with some orange juice, I might just get some!
