National Polls Are Shifting in Battleground States, Here’s Who Is Leading Now
If you haven’t picked up on it already, I think the national polls are complete garbage. There are so many things wrong with them that it’s ridiculous.
In all honesty, I think the only reason there are even polls to begin with is to get Americans worked up about the election.
Every week a friend of mine sends me a text message or calls me to tell me that he’s nervous about the election and the reason that he always gives is because the polls show the former Vice President Joe Biden in the lead in practically every poll.
And every time I have to tell him that the polls don’t mean a thing. They are utterly worthless.
As a matter of fact, just last night he texted me saying, “I hope Trump wins. I’m so nervous about it.” I just told him to stop. Then he said, “You really think Trump will win? Even the conservatives are saying Biden is in the lead.”
From there I went on to list several reasons why I’m confident that President Trump is going to win and here’s a little bit of what I told him:
Pennsylvania voter registration among Republicans seem to indicate that Pennsylvania will remain with President Trump.
During the last election, President Trump won the state even with Democrats outnumbering Republicans in registrations by 900,000. Since that time, that number has dropped to 700,000. Even then, it’s likely that more Democrats will vote for President Trump even as a registered Democrat.
Florida’s Latino voters were greatly favoring Hillary Clinton in 2016…and she lost. Now they are greatly favoring President Trump which only further increases my confidence that he’ll win Florida once again.
Support among black voters has skyrocketed for President Trump. In 2016, he only had 8% of the black vote. It’s estimated that he’ll get between 13-16% this time which will solidify many states for Trump.
56% of Americans say that they’re better off than 4 years ago. Why would they change that KNOWING that Biden is increasing taxes? No one wants that mess.
People hate what the left has become and many Democrats have lefts the party.
Real Clear Politics keeps a running average of battleground polls. Here’s were things stand right now (with the previous average on parentheses). In the averages, Biden’s lead has risen slightly in Florida and Michigan, but dropped in Arizona, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
Arizona — Biden 3.2 (+4.0)
Florida — Biden +2.1 (+1.7)
Michigan — Biden +7.8 (+7.2)
North Carolina — Biden + 2.3 (2.7)
Pennsylvania — Biden +4.9 (6.4)
Wisconsin — Biden +4.6 (6.3)
The Washington Times pointed out that in 2016, Clinton held an even bigger edge than Biden in several key states, including Florida, Michigan and Pennsylvania, all of which Trump went on to win.
“With 14 days to go before the election, Mr. Biden had an average lead of 3.9% in six battleground states: Florida, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, North Carolina and Arizona. Mrs. Clinton held a 4.4% lead in those states at this juncture,” the Times reported.
