Former First Lady Melania Trump is set to make a rare public appearance at next week’s Republican National Convention (RNC) in Wisconsin, according to several reports. This marks a significant moment as she has been largely absent from the 2024 campaign trail and did not attend Donald Trump’s high-profile hush money trial in New York earlier this year alongside other Trump family members.

It remains unclear whether Melania Trump will speak at the RNC or hold any formal role during the event in Milwaukee, but she has been pretty quiet since Trump has been on the campaign trail. Her last major public outing with Donald Trump was in May, during a high school graduation ceremony in Palm Beach, Florida, for their youngest son, Barron.

In a similar vein, Ivanka Trump, who also did not attend the hush money trial, has confirmed her attendance at the RNC in a personal capacity to support her father. Ivanka previously announced in 2022 that she would not take part in Trump’s comeback presidential campaign.

This family show of support comes at a crucial time for Trump, who appears to be heading into the convention with a stronger political position than his rival, Joe Biden. Most national polls indicate Trump leading Biden in the general election, while the Democratic party is currently engaged in a contentious debate over whether another candidate should replace Biden following his poor debate performance and concerns about his mental fitness for office.

A guest told us, “Hors d’oeuvres and Champagne flowed as the first lady generously welcomed the guests to her home with off-the-cuff remarks,” highlighting her and Donald Trump’s support for the group.
