Musk Responds To Harris Comment
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris finally made their way to North Carolina and Georgia on Wednesday to assess the destruction left in Hurricane Helene’s wake. But in the face of widespread devastation, Harris’s response felt woefully inadequate, echoing the administration’s previous missteps during disaster relief.
Harris announced a $750 payment for those affected by the hurricane—a sum so small that it barely scratches the surface of what victims actually need. If you’ve just lost your home and everything in it, $750 wouldn’t even cover a few nights in a hotel, let alone food or basic necessities for a family. And to top it off, she mentioned that people could apply for it online—assuming, of course, they even had power or internet access in the aftermath of the storm.
Kamala went to Georgia today and bragged about giving $750 in federal assistance to the hurricane victims — whose entire livelihoods have been completely destroyed.

Criticism was swift, with many pointing out the stark contrast between this pitiful handout and the billions of dollars the Biden-Harris administration has poured into other areas, like assistance to Ukraine or benefits for illegal immigrants. Americans who have lost their homes and livelihoods are being handed a pittance compared to the sums being spent elsewhere. It’s insulting.
Biden didn’t do much better during his visit to North Carolina. The optics were embarrassing—he moved slowly, out of sync with those around him, looking like a man out of touch with the urgency of the situation. Rather than focus on helping hurricane victims, Biden couldn’t resist slipping into his tired, predictable routine of using a natural disaster to push his climate change agenda, attacking Americans who don’t fully subscribe to his worldview.
Biden is completely cooked.

Instead of offering comfort and concrete solutions, he turned the hurricane into a platform for his political narrative. Imagine Biden calling others “braindead” when his administration has repeatedly shown how tone-deaf it is during crises like this.
Adding to the insult, Biden bragged about directing Starlink systems to help restore communication in the hurricane-affected areas. The irony? It’s his own Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that pulled the plug on a Starlink award, delaying its broader deployment in the first place.
Had the FCC not illegally revoked the SpaceX Starlink award, it would probably have saved lives in North Carolina.

Elon Musk stepped in to deploy more systems after Trump personally spoke to him about the desperate need. But where’s the $42 billion the Biden administration set aside for rural broadband? They’ve done nothing with it, leaving rural and disaster-hit communities in the lurch.
