I know that this headline sounds like I’m about to try and sell you something, but I assure you I’m not. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen and ad saying something along these lines though.

However, apparently this is true. Following a recent drug trial that targets rectal cancer, every single patient was cancer free by the end of the initial drug phase. The process was supposed to be followed up with chemotherapy with is horrendously terrible for you, but remarkably, every patient was cancer free before that phase of the trial started.

The drug is a first of its kind. While other drugs may have eliminated cancer in some patients in the past, none of them have gotten rid of it entirely in 100% of the test subjects. What makes this even more amazing is that none of the patients reported any adverse side effects from the drug.

I’m sure that there are many of you who have lost a loved one to cancer. Some of you may be battling cancer yourself. Maybe this treatment will get approved in the near future and we will all benefit from it.

Have we finally found a cure for cancer? It would be absolutely remarkable if that were the case. So many lives could be saved from such a treatment, so long as they don’t jack up the price unnecessarily in order to pad their pockets instead of doing good with the knowledge.

Our technology and our knowledge is getting so advanced that we have a lot to look forward to in the future. There is nothing that we as a civilization cannot conquer given all of the resources we have at our fingertips. We only need to use them for the right reasons to improve mankind.
