Middle School Eliminates “Racist” Failing Grades with Racist Policy
There are several problems with the public school system.
If you haven’t picked up on it by now, I am a staunch opponent of the public school system and a strong advocate for homeschooling.
I won’t spend this time explaining why I’m against one and for the other, but as you continue reading the content on this site, you’ll slowly uncover some of the reasons. Maybe one day I can lay out a concise case for why if any are interested. If this is something you’d like to see in the future, just drop a comment.
One of the problems with the school system the way it is today is that they have made it easier to get through grades. When I was in school, we had four letter grades, A, B, C, and F. There was no D. If you got below a 70 or a C, you were failing. I was honestly surprised to learn that schools actually had Ds or numerical grades that were in the 60s as passing grades.
A school in Minnesota is trying to make it even easier to pass by implementing a grading system that is supposed to eliminate “systemic racism”. However, they are failing to see that this policy to fight racism…is racist.

A video by Sunrise Park Middle School in White Bear Lake, Minnesota introduces a new ‘woke’ grading scale that eliminates the failing grade of an ‘F’. The reason given for the elimination of a failing grade with the letter is to eliminate ‘systemic racism’ which is racist in the belief that only black children receive failing grades.
This comes from the “Everyone Gets a Trophy” theory that everyone is a winner. In real life, this makes everyone equally dumb to dumb down the system of achievement.
Principal Christina Pierre says in the video below: “Our whole intent is to ensure that grades focus on the process of learning. Therefore, grades will not include behaviors, attitude, tardiness to class, whether the assignment was turned in late or on time. There’s other ways that we can communicate those things to parents.”
One of the stupid points in this new grading system is that students actually get 1/2 credit for an assignment if they don’t turn it in. Why get credit for doing nothing?
I will admit that I am supportive of the policy of allowing retaking and revising tests. By learning what areas they got wrong and having the opportunity to correct it, it helps them to actually learn that information rather than them just getting a poor grade on it and never learning it.
