McDonald’s Promises Racism and Sexism is on the Menu
McDonald’s, much like many other companies today, have fallen victim to the idea of this fake social justice movement sweeping the nation.
Everyone is bending over backwards to show just how not racist or not sexist they really are. Now Mickey D’s is doing the same in promising that they’re going to start hiring more blacks and women.
But that’s not all, they’re also going to be punishing executives if they hire too many white men.
In a statement released by McDonald’s, they said the following:
Beginning in 2021, the Company is incorporating quantitative human capital management-related metrics to annual incentive compensation for its Executive Vice Presidents. In addition to the Company’s financial performance, executives will be measured on their ability to champion our core values, improve representation within leadership roles for both women and historically underrepresented groups, and create a strong culture of inclusion within the Company.
Represent the diverse communities in which we operate by increasing the diversity of our Leadership: By end of 2025, McDonald’s expects to increase representation of historically underrepresented groups in leadership roles (Senior Director and above) located in the U.S. to 35%. The 2020 baseline data shows underrepresented groups make up 29% of leadership roles. Additionally, by end of 2025, McDonald’s expects to increase representation of women in leadership roles globally (Senior Director and above) to 45%. The 2020 baseline data shows women make up 37% of leadership roles.
It really just makes me sick that companies do stupid things like this. I’m not against blacks, minorities, women, LGBT, or any other group serving in leadership roles for companies. What I AM against is when the companies make it a priority to put any class of people in a leadership role instead of someone else simply because they are part of one of these “special” classes of people.
Someone should get the job because they are the right person for the job, not because of their skin color, sexual orientation, or gender. This is racism and sexism. These morons don’t realize that discrimination goes both ways. If it is wrong to not hire someone because of these attributes, it is equally wrong to hire someone BECAUSE of one of these attributes.
