Marvel Comics Goes Woke, Rejects the Fight for the American Dream
I think that one thing that really doesn’t need much explanation is the American dream. For those of us who are willing to work for it, the American dream is something that is achievable.
It’s the reason people come to America in the first place. Liberal ideology has distorted that notion and want to pretend that it isn’t true, but nowhere else in the world can you go with as much freedom and opportunity as there is in America.
Anyone can come here and reach their goals if they’re willing to put in the work.
However, Marvel Comic has gone woke and said that the American dream doesn’t even exist.
Just ahead of Independence Day, Marvel Comics featured a new Captain America issue in which the Captain slams the American dream as a false promise.
The first issue of the new series, “The United States of Captain America,” by writer Christopher Cantwell, was published on June 30, only four days before the country traditionally celebrates its day of independence from Great Britain.
As the issue begins, Steve Rogers — the original Cap — grouses about how America is built on “lies.”
“I’m loyal to nothing. Except the dream,” Rogers says early in the issue. “Here’s the thing about a dream, though. A dream isn’t real… I’m starting to think America actually has two dreams. And one lie. The first American dream is the one that isn’t real. It’s one some people expect to just be handed to them. And then they get angry when it disappears. When the truth is, it never really existed in the first place.”
He adds that the dream with the “white picket fences” is a lie that “doesn’t get along nicely with reality. Other cultures. Immigrants. The poor.”
And that’s part of the big problem, people do expect it to be handed to them on a silver platter. Even if it was, they are so stupid that they would just reject it anyway and then complain about how it was taken away from them or never there in the first place.
I’m not kidding when I say that liberals are illogical and honestly just plain stupid overall. That doesn’t mean that they can’t know some things or that literally everything that they say is dumb, but when you look at their worldview and how they function in society, they might as well be sheep or zombies.
The American dream lives on for those who are willing to put in the effort to achieve it. It’s not going to fall into your lap. You’ve got to be diligent and hard-working. I would say that I’m living the dream, but it took me a decade to get there and I’m still fighting to make that dream even more dreamy.
