Louisiana AG Gives Warning to JP Morgan Chase CEO About Their Policies
The Progressive pathogen or wokeism has made its way into the corporate world too.
We have woke corporate officers who fear having their companies canceled by a small minority of progressives on social media and so they make bad decisions that in many cases cause the company to suffer more from backlash than ever would have received them if those same knuckleheads would have just told them to shut up.
Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida is not the only conservative to fight back against matters like this, especially involving gun control.
Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry sent out a letter warning JP Morgan Chase that unless they change their policies and eliminate any discrimination concerning firearm ownership in regards with state-issued infrastructure underwriting, then he will no longer allow them as an eligible company for this type service until they reverse course.
Landry’s letter said,
Your recent testimony before the United States House of Representatives, Financial Services Committee, on May 27, 2021, has called into question your ability to do business in several states, including Louisiana. In this testimony, you stated the following in response to a question from Rep. Madeleine Dean: “We do not finance the manufacture of military-style weapons for civilian use.”
This comes after the company said that they don’t have any policies that would restrict the Second Amendment, but this certainly does.
If if you’re wondering just how serious Landry is about this matter, let me tell you that this isn’t the first time he’s gone after companies to protect the Second Amendment. Back in 2018, he along with the Louisiana Bond Commission denied $600 million to Citiband and Bank of America because of their gun control stance.
Companies should not be fighting against our Constitutionally guaranteed rights, even if they don’t agree with them. If they want them changed, then they need to convince 2/3 of Americans to give up their guns and to abolish the Amendment. That will never happen.
