Karl Rove, A Republican strategist, spoke out on Sunday in an attempt to issue a warning to President Donald Trump. He made it clear that he felt as though the average American was not a fan of “Sore Losers”.

This statement was made on a segment during the “Fox News Sunday” program after the host, Chris Wallace, approached Karl Rove.

He approached him with the question of whether or not he expected Donald Trump to object to the election results presented by the Electoral College and if so, would he continue to contest those results even past January 6th after congress officially votes on the matter.

Wallace said,

“The Electoral College votes tomorrow, and then on January 6, the Congress actually counts the votes and formally declares a winner. Do you expect President Trump to continue to contest the election past tomorrow, maybe even past January 6, and do you think he’s either helping or hurting both himself and the country?”

Rove said,

“Well, I believe that he will. I wouldn’t be surprised to see that maybe tomorrow there are attempts to disrupt the voting in the six contested states. I wouldn’t be surprised to see expressions of public support for the president’s position from Trump electors in states that he carried.”

“I wouldn’t be surprised on January 6 — I fully expect that one senator and one representative, at minimum, that’s what’s required, can file a statement contesting the electoral college results,” he added. “But I don’t see that it’s going to be overturned tomorrow, and I don’t see that it’s going to be overturned on January 6. ”

“As to your second question, it depends on — the answer to that depends upon what’s his goal? If his goal is to lay the predicate to come back in 2024 and run again, he’s helping himself at least gain the nomination,” Rove said. “But I think in the long run, he’s not helping himself or the country. America likes comebacks, but they don’t like sore losers, and he is on the edge of looking like a sore loser and probably will look like it after January 6.”

Chris was also interested in finding out whether or not Karl Rove felt as though Trump was helping or hurting both the country as a whole and himself.

Rove was quick to answer that he felt that it was very likely that the president was going to object to the results in some fashion. He then went on to say that he would not be surprised if the public also displayed some form of support regarding his stance on the matter within the states that he carried.
