Kamala Gives Remarks As Prisoners Return To USA
In December 2017, then-Senator Kamala Harris made a powerful statement during a press conference that has since resurfaced and is going viral.
At the time, the press was engaging in a campaign to save the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which shielded some illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. as children from deportation. President Trump had announced the termination of DACA, leaving thousands of young immigrants, often referred to as “Dreamers,” in a state of uncertainty.
At the press conference, Harris chastised Americans for celebrating the holidays. “And when we all sing happy tunes, and sing Merry Christmas, and wish each other Merry Christmas, these children are not going to have a Merry Christmas. How dare we speak Merry Christmas. How dare we? They will not have a Merry Christmas,” Harris said. Her remarks were part of a broader push for the passage of the Dream Act, which aimed to provide a pathway to citizenship for some illegal immigrants who arrived in the U.S. as minors.
It’s just so perfect. What she’s saying is absurd, sure, but the mannerisms and facial expressions that come from her feigning righteous indignation? That’s something special.
In just seven seconds, you get the complete Harris, and it’s not pretty.

The Dream Act was a central focus for liberal activists and Democrats who were pushing for legislative action before the end of 2017. Harris emphasized the urgency, stating, “Since Sept. 5, over 12,000 have lost their status… And for that reason, we must get this done, and we must get it done before the end of this year. No January, no February, no March, now.”
That’s not the only comment that is giving Kamala Harris fits. There is a reason folks why her handlers only want her on a teleprompter like Joe.
The Vice President is a hot mess without it.
Below is a clip of Vice President Kamala Harris with President Joe Biden giving remarks as the prisoners from Russia return to the United States.
KAMALA: “This is just an extraordinary testament to the importance of having a president who understands the power of diplomacy and understands the strength that rests in understanding the significance of diplomacy.”
