Kamala Is Planning Border Visit
Kamala Harris’ sudden pivot to border security is as transparent as it is desperate. The vice president, who has spent years championing open borders, now wants to paint herself as tough on immigration just as the 2024 election approaches. With the Biden-Harris administration under fire for the record-breaking migrant surge at the southern border, Harris is reportedly planning to visit Arizona on Friday in what many critics have already labeled a “political stunt.” And who can blame them? Harris has barely set foot at the border during her tenure and has long been an outspoken ally of illegal immigration, with a history that makes this new narrative laughable at best.
CNN’s own Eva McKend, not exactly known for taking the administration to task, pointed out the absurdity of Harris’ claims. McKend highlighted how Harris has a documented history of opposing strong border security measures. This is the same Kamala Harris who mocked Trump’s border wall as ineffective and a waste, and who brought a “Dreamer” to a joint session of Congress as her guest. Yet now, as her numbers lag behind Trump’s on immigration, she’s trying to convince voters that she’s ready to “secure the border.”
Boom! CNN’s Eva McKend just DEMOLISHED Kamala’s “I’m tough on the border” routine:
“So for her to go down there, and characterize herself as tough on the border, it isn’t consistent with a lot of the policy positions that she previously has espoused.” pic.twitter.com/nDvUw4yfwQ

It’s no surprise that this sudden shift in strategy reeks of gaslighting. Even those within her own party must be scratching their heads. Back in 2018, Harris was chanting “down, down with deportation” at a parade, and she has repeatedly supported policies that essentially pave the way for illegal immigrants to stay in the U.S. Now, in an election year, she’s supposedly seen the light and is promising border security? The timing couldn’t be more suspicious.
Republicans aren’t buying it, and neither should voters. Arizona Rep. Andy Biggs was quick to dismiss the trip as a carefully staged photo op. And he’s right. The border will be cleaned up, security forces will be on high alert, and Harris will likely get her pictures and soundbites before quickly retreating back to Washington. But what won’t change is her long track record of undermining immigration enforcement, something that has contributed to the chaos we see today.
The looks on the other panelists faces is awesome. 😂😂

While Harris tries to reinvent herself, Trump continues to hammer home his “America First” immigration policy, which has resonated with voters who see through Harris’ charade. Polls show that a majority of Americans still prefer Trump on immigration issues, and it’s no wonder why. Trump didn’t just talk about securing the border; he took concrete steps to do it with policies like “Remain in Mexico” and the construction of the border wall—policies that were swiftly undone by the Biden-Harris administration, fueling the crisis we now face.
This last-ditch effort by Harris is unlikely to fool anyone paying attention. As RJ Hauman from the National Immigration Center for Enforcement put it, “Her entire campaign is built on gaslighting the American people, that she doesn’t believe what she actually believes.” And that’s the crux of the issue: Harris’ record speaks louder than her recent claims. Whether it’s border security, deportations, or immigration reform, her past positions are the antithesis of the tough-on-the-border image she’s trying to sell.
“We’ve been to the border.” (Repeat 3x)
“You haven’t been to the border.”
“And I haven’t been to Europe. I don’t understand the point that you’re making.”
Arguably the cringiest and funniest moment of the presidential campaign thus far ⬇️ pic.twitter.com/UOqbJw7YUQ
