Biden Takes Part In Interview With Holt, Has Tense Exchange
In a recent interview President Joe Biden interview, things took an unexpected turn. The discussion between NBC’s Lester Holt and biden led to various twists and turns, with Biden seemingly wrestling with some questions and even making claims that don’t quite measure up under scrutiny.
The interviewer questioned Biden about his disgusting language against former President Donald Trump, questioning its wisdom, especially in light of a recent assassination attempt. Despite the inquiry, Biden maintained that he does not use inflammatory language against Trump and then starting getting mad over being pressed.
NBC: “Have you taken a step back and done a little soul searching on things that you may have said that could incite people who are not balanced?”
BIDEN (LYING): “I have not engaged in that rhetoric.” pic.twitter.com/sdEtYvKIW2

Perhaps the most appalling comment was when just last week Biden said it was time to put a “bullseye” on former President Trump. Biden denied using those words but Holt pressed him.
NBC: You called President Trump “an existential threat” and said it’s time to put him “in the bullseye.”
BIDEN: “I didn’t say ‘crosshairs.'” pic.twitter.com/RKeKVxULJ9

Biden has a history of making inflammatory statements about Trump. For example, he once remarked in 2018, “If we were in high school, I’d take him [Trump] behind the gym and beat the hell out of him.” Moreover, in 2022 and 2024, he expressed views suggesting that Trump and his supporters pose a threat to the foundations of our republic and our democracy.
During the conversation, the interviewer asked Biden if he planned to debate Trump before the next scheduled debate in September. Biden did not provide a clear affirmation or denial. When pressed on whether he was eager to “get back on the horse,” Biden retorted, “I’m on the horse! Where have you been?”
“Would you be open to doing [another debate with President Trump] in the next few weeks?”
BIDEN: No.
“Is there a sense of wanting to get back on the horse?”
BIDEN (confused): “I’M ON THE HORSE … I don’t need notes. I don’t need a teleprompter!” pic.twitter.com/0t284S06Uo
