“Protests” as they’re still being called are continuing to take place across the country, but in reality they aren’t protests, they’re riots and excuses to conduct violence, vandalism, and erase history.

I can understand some statues maybe needing to go, but when I say that, I mean a VERY slight few. But these idiots are tearing down signs of what we have gone through as a nation whether it be good or bad.

Let me pause for one second and explain this. What is a sign? A sign is something that points toward something else. So if you were driving down the highway and you see a sign up ahead that says “Atlanta – 50 miles”. That sign is not Atlanta or a representation of Atlanta, but it points towards Atlanta.

Likewise, a statue of someone like Abraham Lincoln, the President who helped free the slaves is not racist. Does the statue point to a time when we had slavery? Yes.

Does it mean we like slavery? No. The statue was erected to show how proud we are of eliminating slavery. Yet, because it people want to be triggered by every little thing in existence, they want it torn down and are planning to try and do so on Thursday.

On Tuesday, radical left D.C. Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton announced that she intends to introduce legislation to remove the statue.

“Although formerly enslaved Americans paid for this statue to be built in 1876, the design and sculpting process was done without their input, and it shows,” Norton said in a statement earlier in the day.

“This statue has been controversial from the start,” she said. “It is time it was placed in a museum.”

If the police aren’t ready to protect this piece of American history, then it’s clear that they are only aiding in allowing it to be torn down, and with a liberal mayor I wouldn’t put it past her to tell the police to stand down and allow this
