Is our country getting better or worse? As a whole, I think it’s fair to say that things are getting worse. We lived under a good time under President Trump, but now, we are dealing with hard times under the worst president in modern history.

But it’s not just the president that is under scrutiny right now, there are several members of Congress who have their own scandals going on.

Earlier this month Rep. Madison Cawthorn was called out by Republicans, including House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (who is a RINO, so keep that in mind), regarding some comments that he made on a podcast, now he’s in trouble over some photos that were recently leaked that show him wearing lingerie aboard a cruise ship.

“I guess the left thinks goofy vacation photos during a game on a cruise (taken waaay before I ran for Congress) is going to somehow hurt me?” Cawthorn wrote on Twitter. “They’re running out of things to throw at me.”

According to The Daily Wire,

Cawthorn posted a link to a blog post that appears to show the event, an adults-only scavenger hunt, on a Royal Caribbean cruise where Cawthorn wore the lingerie.

“What Royal Caribbean event has you sharing your underwear, putting lipstick on strangers and screaming at the top of your lungs? It’s the Quest game show, the adults-only scavenger hunt that ranks as a cruise can’t-miss,” the post stated. “Quest is uproariously fun, supremely competitive, and it’s definitely for adults only, which is why it’s often scheduled after 11 p.m.”

I’m going to say that I think that Cawthorn is wrong. I think that these photos along with the story that he told about member of Congress doing cocaine and having orgies is going to completely ruin his career as a politician because many people are going to be betting against him and trying to campaign against him using these very things.

The fact that he didn’t name names seems to suggest that he’s making that story up or that he’s exaggerating. But I just don’t know for sure, that’s just my initial inclination.

The truth of the matter is that these photos are going to damage his image because the people who voted for him likely aren’t going to think too highly of these photos even if they were just part of a game. A younger generation might understand it, but the older generations will not and they’ll just be completely turned off by this.

I think Cawthorn is likely a guy who supports the values that we support as conservatives, but he’s extremely immature, so you have to ask yourself what is most important for you when it comes time to vote for him if you live in his state. Do you want a mature politician, or do you want a guy who is going to represent your views in Washington accurately?
