The incident that occurred on the set of the Rust film is definitely a tragedy that never should have happened.

There are so many things that run through my mind when I think about this incident and how many things must have gone wrong for this to happen.

Why were there live bullets around to begin with? Who put them in the weapon? Who was supposed to check the weapon? And there are still several more, some of which I’ll touch on in just a moment.

Baldwin was confronted by a reporter who happened to see him in New York City this week and asked him if he really thought that he didn’t pull the trigger and if he believed that the gun went off without pulling the trigger.

During this time, the reporter lunged toward the reporter telling him “You are not allowed to photograph onto somebody’s private home.  You can’t photograph onto somebody’s private home.”

The truth is that he can film somebody’s home from public property which is where the man was standing. It is a low-life thing to do? Yes, but it’s still legal.

Here’s my take on the matter:

I think that Alec Baldwin did not intent to shoot Halyna Hutchins. I believe it was an accident and I believe that there are a number of things that let to this accident.

The first one is that Alec Baldwin seems to not understand how a gun works. Let me say this clearly; if you do not understand how a gun works, don’t handle it!

What I think happened is that while he was showing the gun and pulling the hammer back, he had his finger on the trigger in order to hold the gun firmly. He didn’t understand that this is going to fire a shot once that hammer is released.

The way that he talks about the gun and the fact that he’s an idiot liberal really seems to suggest for me that he doesn’t know much about guns.

He never should have been pointing it at her to begin with, especially if it was not 100% checked, which it wasn’t because obviously there was a live round inside.
