HOAX ALERT: Democrats Accuse Parents Wanting Schools Open of Being ΚΚΚ Members
I’m going to call it now. This is a hoax.
I may be proven wrong later and have to eat my words, but I know a lot about Christianity and this letter just sets off red flags for me.
Supposedly, Democrats in Fairfax County, Virginia have claimed to have found a flyer that shows the ΚΚΚ does not like the school board members and that they are extremely hateful towards them.
Democrats said that since the flyer purportedly showed that the ΚΚΚ does not like school board members, and parents angry that schools remained closed for nearly an entire year also do not like school board members, the parents might be ΚΚΚ sympathizers.
Democrat officials posted photos of two crumpled-up pieces of paper that said “Fairfax County, VA- school board members- Jew-inspired, communist, queer-loving sex fiends- violating the words of the Holy Bible (KJV)- Yahweh is Watching! Loyal White Knights… Pray for White Americans,” it says.
State Delegate Marcus Simon said “I’m not saying everybody who supports Open FCPS is a member of the ΚΚΚ, but when the ΚΚΚ is on your side, you need to rethink your priorities,” he said, referring to a group of parents of all backgrounds who advocated for schools to re-open to in-person learning as the coronavirus lockdown dragged on.
Here is the letter that Democrats are claiming came from these anti-Semitic ΚΚΚ members
If the Klan is calling our School Board a bunch of “Jew-Inspired, Communist, Queer-Loving Sex Fiends,” we must be doing something right.

Now, let me explain why this raises flags to me.
There aren’t actually a lot of groups that called God, Yahweh. Yahweh is the name of God used throughout the Old Testament, but it’s typically not freely used in any Christian sect.
There also aren’t a lot of Christian groups that are what we call KJVOs, or King James Version Only Christians. Those are the Christians who believe that only the KJV of the bible is inspired and the rest are perversions. As someone who has studied bible translations a lot, I can assure you that this is not the case. But in the KJV, the term “Yahweh” is not used. The Hebrew tetragrammaton from which we get the name Yahweh is translated as “The LORD” with all capital letter for LORD in the KJV.
But those who are KJVO do not refer to God as Yahweh. They would stick with “The LORD” because that is what is inspired in their eyes.
Another reason is that there is obviously strong hatred for these groups listed on the flyer. While true Christians are against these sins, they are typically not hateful toward those that practice them, especially to this degree. This is on the same level as Westboro Baptist Church.
So to me, it seems like some liberals got together to try and piece together a hateful flyer and throw in things that they thought would make Christians and people who are against keeping schools closed look the worst.
