GOP Urges Creative Prosecution for Bidens
Conservatives are demanding that Republican prosecutors bring criminal charges against President Joe Biden, his son Hunter Biden, and other family members for alleged corruption. This comes in the wake of President Trump being charged by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, though Trump’s charges seem to be related to a frivolous non-criminal matter involving Stormy Daniels.
Hunter is known to have used his presidential father’s name and office to gain money from foreign firms, as well as evidence that he tried to involve his father in at least one business deal, but probably many more. Last month, the House Oversight Committee exposed that Joe Biden’s family had accepted cash originating from a Chinese company with ties to the Chinese Communist Party without any explanation given regarding its source or purpose.
Apart from potential tax violations – which Hunter has admitted he is under investigation for – there may have been lobbying law breaches or even bribery committed by the Bidens. Nonetheless, U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland has declined to appoint a special prosecutor to look into these claims, seemingly due to protection granted by the FBI, Silicon Valley conglomerates, and mainstream media outlets.
This stark contrast between Trump facing the first ever arrest of an ex-president in American history over spurious accusations while the Bidens remain unscathed has led conservatives to call for similar action against them both in retribution and as a warning sign for future politicians.
On Monday, Mark Levin, a conservative talk radio host, suggested that Republican attorneys general in border states should charge Biden immediately in order to test the constitutionality of indicting a sitting president.
Levin, like Davis, suggested that Republican prosecutors should be creative in their response to what he viewed as an assault on the American constitutional system. He believes that there are enough reasons for conservatives to take action.
Congressional investigation of the Bidens is already underway. On Monday, Rep. James Comer the House Oversight Committee chair, tweeted that he had obtained documents and testimony that could implicate the president.
I now have access to the Biden family's suspicious activity reports from @USTreasury.
I have also subpoenaed Biden family band records.
And Biden family associates connected to the schemes are talking to @GOPoversight.
