A recently viral social media video is generating buzz as it shows seasoned attendees of an event participating in an unexpected and potentially controversial situation. In the video, three drag queens are paired with three elderly gentlemen, who are not told beforehand about the challenge they will shortly face.

They are tasked with choreographing a dance routine to Britney Spears’ “Toxic,” within the strict parameters of 30 minutes. While the video, which was released on Nov. 13, 2019, as part of media company Participant’s productions, has gained over 100,000 views on YouTube, it has also been shared extensively across social media platforms, with a Twitter clip receiving over 2 million views.

The most talked-about moment in the video is an elderly man affirming himself as a “man of God” before walking off stage after being asked to dance with a drag queen.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I can’t do this,” Isaac interrupts to say, walking off the stage. “I’m a man of God, I can’t do this.”

“You know I love those people, I pray for them, I would never do anything to hurt them or condemn them,” Isaac says later offstage. “But men are not supposed to dress like women. I’m not going to go along with that! It’s time to stand up and be a man of God.”

The video also caught the attention of conservative media outlets, such as The Daily Caller, which reported on the incident and called the man a “based grandpa”. The Daily Caller also pointed out that drag culture is harmful to children and society, citing examples of drag queen story hours that have been disrupted by protesters or exposed as having sex offenders among their performers.

Dr. Paul McHugh, a former psychiatrist-in-chief at Johns Hopkins Hospital, has argued that transgenderism is a mental disorder, and that sex-reassignment surgery is not a solution. McHugh has said that “transgendered men do not become women, nor do transgendered women become men. All (including Bruce Jenner) become feminized men or masculinized women, counterfeits or impersonators of the sex with which they ‘identify.'”

The man is to be applauded and hopefully his message resonates with others. It’s time to take a stand for what’s right.
