Elon Musk Issues Warning to Twitter Users After Learning Algorithm May Be Manipulating You
Thanks to Elon Musk, I think a lot of Twitter’s corrupt inner workings are being and will continue to be exposed.
You may have heard that the purchase was on hold. Well, that came as a result of Elon discovering a lot more fake or spam accounts than he had anticipated.
To me, this sort of manipulation has been present for a long time. I actually really started paying attention about the time that Joe Biden was inaugurated.
At time I had initially wrote about the matter, Joe Biden had 26 million or so Twitter followers…and most of them were fake! Just take a look at this…
Joe’s been getting 100,000 followers on twitter every day! Except they’re ALL FAKE!! Share and follow! @sparkey909w @kylenabecker @catturd2 @RealMattCouch @4AllSoulKind @CoreysDigs @9NEWSNANCY @mtgreenee @thebradfordfile @IamTore @Patriot1776AR @scrowder pic.twitter.com/r9XzCzwCt2

I looked at his account and looked at his followers and what I saw was the same exact thing. The majority of the followers are brand new accounts that were created in January.
But what Elon recently said regarding the platform and its users is that we’re “being manipulated” and cautioned that everyone turn off the platform’s algorithmic newsfeed.
“You are being manipulated by the algorithm in ways you do not realize … Easy to switch back and forth to see the difference,” Musk wrote on Twitter. The Tesla CEO advised other users to switch to seeing the latest Twitter posts immediately by tapping the Twitter home button, tapping the stars button on the upper right of the screen, and selecting “latest tweets.”
Very important to fix your Twitter feed:
1. Tap home button.
2. Tap stars on upper right of screen.
3. Select “Latest tweets”.You are being manipulated by the algorithm in ways you don’t realize.
Easy to switch back & forth to see the difference.

“I am not suggesting malice in the algorithm, but rather that it is trying to guess what you might want to read and, in doing so, inadvertently manipulate/ amplify your viewpoints without you realizing this is happening,” Musk continued in another post.
What if, and I’m just speculating here, what if Elon’s plan was not to really purchase Twitter at all, but to simply expose it? I don’t think he’ll care much he buys it or not, because if it’s exposed, then that will do a lot of damage to the brand and they may be forced to fix whatever issues they have.
Either way, this could turn out to be a positive even if he doesn’t buy it.
