Kamala Gets Nomination
Vice President Kamala Harris has been officially announced as the Democratic Party’s 2024 presidential nominee, and no, you didn’t miss the DNC Convention.
The confirmation was made by the Democratic National Committee (DNC) this Monday, just after a virtual roll call of pledged delegates to the national convention in the middle of the night The convention is scheduled to start in two weeks in Chicago.
Harris’s securing of the nomination occurred just hours prior to her expected announcement of her choice for running mate Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, another leftist radical.
The formal recognition of Harris’s nomination came three days post receiving the votes from a majority of pledged delegates. DNC chair Jaime Harrison was elated to confirm that Harris received over half the votes from all convention delegates.
Harris being designated as the sole qualifying candidate for the nomination roll call sealed her coronation.
Even though the official nomination vote was conducted remotely, the DNC intends to have a ceremonial roll call at the Democratic National Convention, which is scheduled for Aug. 19 in Chicago.
Harris’s formal securing of the nomination came exactly two weeks and one day post President Biden’s decision to withdraw from the race.
Once Biden dropped out a wave of endorsements were given to the Vice President by Democratic governors, senators, House members, and other party leaders. Within 36 hours, Harris announced that she had secured her party’s nomination by receiving the verbal backing of a majority of the nearly 4,000 convention delegates.
Funny how the party completely ignored the Democrat Congressman who was the only one brave enough to attempt to run in the primary.
Now that the presidential nomination virtual roll call has been completed, DNC’s rules allowed Harris to nominate her choice for the vice presidential candidate. The convention chair would then declare that candidate to be the party’s vice-presidential nominee.
