Disney has once again stirred the pot and caused controversy with their hateful and anti-American stance through their popular children’s show, The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder. The second season of the rebooted series premiered on February 1, just in time for Black History Month, to teach kids about Juneteenth.

In one of its upcoming episodes entitled “Juneteenth”, 14-year-old Penny and her friends decide to learn more about the importance of Juneteenth in her fictional town of Smithville, California. After some research they soon unearth a something that they are appalled over, the city was founded by a slаve owner. This realization causes them all to reflect on the history of slаvery in America and how it still affects people today.

The episode features an inspiring speech delivered by Penny and her peers during which they declare that this country was built on slаvery, and as such, slаves were responsible for its construction. They then draw attention to systemic prejudice, rаcism and white supremаcy that is supposedly still rampant throughout America today, claiming that it is up to those who are descended from slаves to receive repаrаtions for the injustices endured by their ancestors.

What makes matters worse is that Disney goes even further with their propaganda. Abraham Lincoln is smeared as not having freed the slаves at all while perpetuating the false narrative that lies behind “Hands Up Don’t Shoot”.

Disney is powerfully pushing its own biased opinions onto children through this show…opinions which are not only damaging but also dangerous if accepted without question or proper understanding of history. It is incredibly irresponsible for Disney to be teaching children a skewed version of history in order to serve a particular political agenda rather than educating them properly on facts and actual events.

Disney is teaching our children to be angry and not hate their country.
