Democrats Unanimously Pass Ilhan Omar’s Anti-Islamophobia Act to Cut Down on Free Speech
The House of Representatives passed a bill this week that is designed to restrict free speech.
The bill which was introduced by Rep. Ilhan Omar targets those who are against Islam. The bill was passed right down the line with every Democrat voting for it, and every Republican against it.
This is supposed to be an effort to combat “Islamophobia”.
Why is it only ever Islamophobia that is condemned and not Christianophobia?
If there was ever a hated and discriminated against religion in this country it’s Christianity. Our Christian values are assaulted on a daily basis. What is it that Christians want from society? To sum it up, love God and love man by living virtuous lives. Don’t steal, don’t kill, don’t do evil.
Some will say that this is what Muslims want as well, but that’s not always the case. Islam is not equal and there are different sects within Islam. You probably know about the Shia and Sunni distinction, but there are others. In some ways, it’s just as diverse as Christianity.
Within Christianity, we have Baptists, Presbyterians, Methodists, etc. There are also what I call nominal Christians who really don’t take God seriously, but believe that they’re Christians because their parents were and because they maybe used to go to church. Then there are those who are devout Christians who dedicate time to studying God, theology, reading the bible, and going to church.
This exists within Islam as well. There are nominal Muslims who don’t take it too seriously, then there are those who really practice what the Qur’an teaches. I won’t go into the details, but if you want to look into some of what the Qur’an teaches you can look at Surah 4:34, Surah 5:17, Surah 5:33, Surah 5:38, Surah 5:51, Surah 9:5, Surah 9:29, and Surah 9:123.
Read those and then tell me why people feel the way they do about Islam. Also, if you’re looking these up, I would suggest looking at a couple different interpretations because what you read in English is not a translation, it is an interpretation and some interpreters soften what is being said.
