Democrats Lose 2nd of Five Key Swing States To Win 2020 Election
It looks as though Democrats are all but giving up on another swing state already and the elections haven’t even started.
Ohio is one of the key swing states that if Democrats win any one of them, they’ll likely win the 2020 election. Ohio has become the second state that seems to now be more Republican, Florida being the other.
According to Fox News,
A top Democratic super PAC that spent $133 million in support of Hillary Clinton in 2016 said it no longer considers Ohio a target state for the 2020 presidential election, as it looks to align with an increasingly socialist Democratic Party.
The PAC now sees Ohio as less likely to flip than other swing states, such as Florida, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and even traditionally red states like Georgia and Arizona, according to Cleveland.com.
Josh Schwerin who is a spokesman for Priorities USA told Fox News, “It’s not in our initial spending plans. It is in the states to watch-and-see if an investment is worth making.”
“That doesn’t mean we don’t think Ohio is winnable for a Democrat. What we think that means is if Ohio is in play, we’ll have already won the easier states and have 270 electoral votes. Our investment strategy is how to get to 270 electoral votes.”
The PAC has also noted that Texas and Iowa are more right-leaning and therefore favorable to also vote for President Trump in 2020.
I love what the Washington Examiner had to report on this,
Priorities USA claims it is just trying to target resources where they will be most effective. Republicans can thank goodness the Democrats apparently don’t understand just how fluid politics is, how important it is to plant seeds for long-term political harvest of the electoral weather changes, and how deeply risky it is to treat middle America with neglect. The old saying remains almost always correct: As Ohio goes, so goes the nation.
…as goes Ohio, so goes the nation. That’s beautiful isn’t it?
So that’s two down, three more to go to lock in President Trump for 2020 and in my opinion, the other states are already right-leaning and should be no problem to hold on to.
One more thing that I think will happen is that many of the people who voted for another party will now vote for President Trump in this coming election because honestly, he’s proven himself to be a good president.
