The Democrats will pick at any little thing they can when it comes to President Trump and I do mean ANYTHING.

Now they are wanting an investigation into the 4th of July celebration event held in Washington, D.C. They want to know how much it really cost and if it was even legal.

According to MSN,

Senate Democrats are requesting the Government Accountability Office (GAO) open an investigation into the costs of President Trump’s July 4th celebration, including if it complied with legal restrictions on political activity.

Democratic Sens. Tom Udall (N.M.), Patrick Leahy (Vt.) and Chris Van Hollen (Md.) said in a letter to Gene Dodaro, GAO’s comptroller general, that they are “concerned by the impacts and the precedent of diverting limited Federal resources ” for the July 4th events.

“Further, we are troubled by reports that preferential access to the National Mall was organized by political entities such as the Republican National Committee, which furthers the appearance that taxpayer funds were used to accomplish political objectives,” they added.

How petty do you really have to be to try and pick a fight over a celebration of our nation’s independence?

How quickly they’ve forgotten how they spend our hard earned tax money. Well, I haven’t so let me remind everyone of some of the expenses of last year by Congress.

Nearly $500 million was spent on new furniture which included a Wexford leather club chair for nearly $10,000.

A $12,000 foosball table, $50,000 worth of ski equipment, and $1.7 million on tubas and trombones (your guess is as good as mine on why they felt the need to spend that much money on instruments).

There was also nearly $5 Million on spent on fine dining for lobster and crab.

“You hypocrite! First, take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.”
